It is 'God's finger' that the hosts of heaven - the sun, moon, and stars - were created; and the ten commandments were inscribed by His. I pray that the 'finger of God' points my life in the right direction, guides me to the right choices, and protects me from evil forces. Amen."

Grant me the grace to realize that I bump into You each day when I encounter the poor and the exploited of this world. Give me the strength to fast when appropriate, not as a mere ritual, but as an act of repentance and devotion, drawing me closer to you. Help me to recognize the times when fasting and feasting are the most appropriate responses to your love and grace. Amen. "
