This study calls into question the safe levels of fluoride that are appropriate for ingesting through water fluoridation. In this stream, I’d also like to compare cavity rates between countries that fluoridate their community water supplies and countries that refrain from the practice. Using the DMFT Index from a recent World Health Organization survey, we’ll see how the United States compares to European nations in terms of dental health.
