Day 874 of the Galactic War begins with a Canada Day dive straight into the chaos.

The Terminids have launched outbreak attacks across the Draco Sector, and Super Earth has issued a new Major Order: defend against 5 Terminid attacks to secure the future TCS+ construction sites.

Current Major Order progress: 3 / 5

Crimsica is under pressure, and it is not looking good. The bugs are gaining ground, the defense meter is struggling, and Omega Squad is dropping in anyway because apparently that is what counts as a plan now.

Is this progress for Helldivers 2?

New video is up covering three major updates from the Frontlines of Freedom:

New Major Order — TCS 2.0 Defense
Super Earth is building a new wall of TCS+ arrays, Terminids are attacking the construction sites, and the R-4 Hyena Marksman Rifle is on the line as the reward.

Census Thunder Campaign Success
The campaign system finally showed what it can become: multiple phases, real objectives, and a real reward with the SFRV Support Vehicle. It is not perfect yet, but this feels like one of the clearest signs that the Galactic War is moving in a better direction.

Heroes 2026 / Save the Children
The Helldivers community showed up in a huge way for Save the Children, with the event raising over $263,000 toward the cause. Omega Squad helped raise over $600 through stream support, private donations, and direct member donations during the six-day campaign.

Census Thunder continues.

The Ministry of Science has begun construction of a Voteless Processing Plant on Alaraph, and Helldivers have been ordered to hold the planet until the facility is complete.

CENSUS THUNDER IS LIVE — AND THE GALACTIC WAR JUST CHANGED.

Helldivers, this is not just another Major Order.

Update 6.3.0 — Machinery of Oppression has officially brought in the new Galactic Campaign system, and tonight Omega Squad is jumping straight into it.

For the first time, we have a proper Campaign Map & History system through the new Control Center terminal, giving us more context on what is happening, why it matters, and what is actually at stake across the warfront.

And the stakes are real.

The Voteless are pouring out of the Void and swarming planets near the anomaly. Basquine VIII and Sangis are now at the center of the new campaign: CENSUS THUNDER.

But High Command has added a twist:

The first liberated planet decides which new FRV model goes into full-scale production.

Basquine VIII = Supply FRV
Sangis = Incinerator FRV

So tonight, we are not just diving for medals.
We are diving for the future of Super Earth’s vehicle arsenal.

MAJOR ORDER FAILED — DAY 858 OF THE GALACTIC WAR

I’m not going to pretend this one sits well with me.

We fought for Omicron. A lot of divers put real time into this push, and from Omega’s perspective, it never truly felt like the outcome was in our hands. That’s the part that frustrates me most.

Failure happens. I can accept failure when it comes from being outplayed, outmatched, or simply not doing enough. That’s war. But this felt different. This felt like the community was asked to carry a burden that was never realistically ours to overcome. Too many pressures, too many competing fronts, too little room for player agency to actually matter.

And that’s a hard thing to swallow when you watched divers show up anyway.

I saw people put in the effort. I saw squads diving, grinding, trying to make progress, trying to do their part. So this is not me blaming the players. Not even close. If anything, my frustration is because the players did fight, and it feels like that fight wasn’t given a fair chance to mean enough.

Omicron remains unpacified.
E-711 extraction is delayed.
The Star of Peace still waits.

But what sticks with me most is not just the failure itself — it’s the feeling that many of us were pushing toward an ending that had already been decided for us.

Still, we fought.

And if you dove on this one, if you spent your time pushing that objective, then you did your duty. No one can take that from you.

By relying on the CQC-20 Breaching Hammer and Dark Energy Jet Packs, true patriots have bought the Federation’s strained supply lines the time needed to begin recovery.

No bullets.
No hesitation.
Just Justice delivered at terminal velocity.

Accordingly, the CQC-20 Breaching Hammer and Dark Energy Jet Packs will remain available to Helldivers for the duration of the current Major Order.

Omega Squad will be watching this closely. If Super Earth is giving us hammers and jet packs… then command clearly expects something large, airborne, and very unhappy to be removed from the battlefield.

🚨 OMEGA INTEL REPORT: MERIDIAN-LEVEL EVENT?

Omega Sector has changed.

Hydrobius and Senge 23 have now been absorbed into the expanding Illuminate void — and below the new boundary, Command has detected a fresh gravimetric ping at an Undisclosed Location.

The Ministry of Science has not classified it as a planet, black hole, or hostile object.

Their wording?

“Celestial phenomenon.”

That should make every Helldiver nervous.

This may not be a normal invasion front. The Illuminate are not simply taking territory — they may be altering the battlefield itself.

The working theory:

The void could be hiding movement, shielding something inside, or revealing an old Illuminate site buried behind gravitational distortion.

A hidden world?
A shrine-world?
A weapon?
A doorway?

Nothing is confirmed.

But after Meridia, Dark Fluid, Exospires, Exostorms, and now the absorption of Senge 23… this feels bigger than a standard planetary loss.

And the lack of a proper alert before Senge 23 vanished may be part of the threat.

Against the Illuminate, the absence of an alert may be the alert.

Omega Squad is monitoring the sector.
