Someone asked me recently, "So what's your story"?

Whoa, what a question. When I sit with that, my mind doesn’t go to one big dramatic battle. It feels more like a series of seasons that quietly shaped me.

There was the abuse.
There was constant struggle.
There were terrible choices.
There was back surgery.
Then the divorce.

And I remember in both of those times, sitting in my life and thinking, Well… now what?
Everything felt unfamiliar. Like I was standing in a version of my life I didn’t quite recognize.

But after my 💗heart transplant, that feeling went deeper.
Quieter.
Almost hard to explain.

It wasn’t just that my circumstances had changed.
It felt like I had changed.

I remember looking around at my days and thinking,
If I’ve been given this second chance… what do I even want to do with it?
What actually matters to me now?
Who am I, really, when everything has been stripped back?

It felt like a blank slate.
More like standing in a quiet, empty room.
No noise.
No expectations.
Just you and your thoughts.

And in that space, I started noticing something else.

How many days of my life had blurred into the next.
One routine after another.
One responsibility after another.
One season of “I’ll get to that later” after another.

And then suddenly, years had passed.

Days turning into weeks.
Weeks into years.
And somewhere in there, the things that once felt exciting or personal or creative had slowly drifted to the edges of my life.

I think that realization carries a very particular kind of emotion.
Not panic.
Not even regret, exactly.
More like a soft ache.

Like looking at a stack of old notebooks and thinking,
I really thought I’d have more time for this.
Or looking at an old idea and realizing how long it’s been sitting quietly in the background.

I remember reading that about four in ten women say they feel burned out, and more than half report high stress most days. When I saw that, it didn’t feel shocking. It just felt familiar. Like it matched the quiet tone of so many conversations I’ve had over the years.

Women who are capable.
Loving.
Responsible.
Hardworking.

And also… a little tired.
A little unsure of where their own life fits into everything they’ve been holding together.

Lost & Found really grew out of those feelings for me.
Out of that blank-slate season.
Out of the quiet realization that time moves whether we’re paying attention or not.

It’s just a space to sit with the question:
What might still be here for me?
What ideas are still lingering?
What parts of me haven’t had much room lately?
What could life look like if I gave those parts a little attention again?

If that feels like a conversation you’d like to step into, you’re welcome to join us here:

💕🍓Happy Valentine’s Day, recipe, and invite for self-care

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be only about romance. For many of us, the deepest love in our lives has come through the women who raised us, stood beside us, or cared for us as we grew up.

Great-grandmothers and grandmothers. Mothers and aunties. Sisters, daughters, friends, and the women who became family along the way.
So much love has been passed down through simple, ordinary moments. The meals were cooked without a recipe. The hands that wiped tears. The laughter around kitchen tables.

The quiet strength that kept a home or a heart together when things were hard.
Today can just be a gentle pause to remember that kind of love. The love we’ve been given, the love we offer, and the sweetness that lives in the small things we make and share with one another.🩷

If Valentine’s Day snuck up on you but you still want something warm, homemade, and a little bit special, these raspberry scones are the answer. They come together quickly, look beautiful, and that little sparkle of sugar on top makes them feel extra festive without any fuss.

Buttery Raspberry Scones with Sugar Tops🍓🫐
Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, grated or cubed
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 large egg
1/2 cup heavy cream, plus extra for brushing
1 teaspoon vanilla
2–3 tablespoons coarse or regular sugar, for sprinkling on top

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold butter and cut it in with a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.

Gently fold in the frozen raspberries.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg, cream, and vanilla. Pour into the dry ingredients and stir just until a soft, shaggy dough forms. Don’t overmix.

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and press into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut into 8 wedges and place them on the baking sheet.
Brush the tops lightly with cream, then sprinkle generously with sugar so they get that pretty, sparkly crust.

Bake for 16–20 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges.
Let them cool slightly and enjoy them warm, with a little butter or just as they are.
Simple, cozy, and perfectly sweet for a last-minute Valentine’s treat. 💗

P.S.- Don' t forget about you today and make time for your own self care: createhealshine.myflodesk.com/lostandfound

I don’t think most women are confused about what they want.
I really don’t.
I think deep down, in the quietest part of themselves, they already know.
They know the thing they miss.
They know the thing they think about when they’re folding laundry or driving alone.
They know the hobby they used to love.
They know the business idea that keeps popping back up every few years.
They know the creative urge they keep brushing aside because it feels impractical.
It’s not a lack of clarity.
It’s a lack of permission.
We get so used to putting ourselves last that even when something calls to us, we treat it like a luxury. Like a bonus. Like something we’ll get to after everything else is handled.
But the truth is, that thing calling you isn’t random.
It’s not silly.
It’s not a distraction.
It’s often the doorway back to feeling authentically yourself.
I’ve seen it over and over again. When a woman finally gives herself permission to spend time on something she genuinely loves, something shifts. Her energy changes. Her mood softens. Her ideas start flowing. She becomes more patient, more hopeful, more alive.
Not because she fixed her whole life overnight.
But because she finally included herself in it.
That’s the heart of my Lost and Found course. It’s not about forcing a business or pushing you into something you don’t want. It’s about reconnecting to the things that already live inside you and seeing where they want to lead.
If you feel like there’s something quietly calling your name, this course was made for you.

How I Stopped Playing Small & Living Fully

When I reflect on the majority of my life, I realize how much of it I spent taking care of everyone else, putting their needs, dreams, and expectations ahead of my own. I thought I was doing the “right” thing: being selfless, helpful, dependable. After all, isn’t that what we’re taught? That putting others first makes us good people?

But what I didn’t understand at the time was that I was operating on autopilot, driven by deeply ingrained beliefs that weren’t serving me. I wasn’t just putting myself on the back burner; I was extinguishing my own fire. Day after day, year after year, I played small, prioritizing others while ignoring the quiet but persistent voice inside me that longed for more.

It’s no wonder I kept making strides but could never seem to hit my big goals. I was stuck in a cycle of overthinking what people thought of me, constantly seeking approval, and bending over backward to support everyone else’s journey while neglecting my own. I didn’t realize that living this way wasn’t just holding me back—it was predetermining my future, limiting my potential, and building a life that felt safe but deeply unfulfilled.

The truth is, I wasn’t thriving; I was merely surviving. And here’s the hardest truth of all: I wasn’t helping others as much as I thought I was. How could I, when I wasn’t showing up as the fullest, most vibrant version of myself?
There came a moment when I couldn’t ignore that quiet voice inside me anymore. I realized I didn’t want to live the rest of my life in the background of my own story. I didn’t want to keep playing small, dimming my light, or pretending I was fine while something inside me ached for more.

It wasn’t easy. For years, I had operated from a belief that prioritizing myself was selfish, that taking up space was wrong. But the more I leaned into the idea of putting myself first, not out of disregard for others, but out of love for myself, the more I saw that this wasn’t selfish at all. It was necessary.

I began to understand that when I take care of myself, when I nurture my dreams and honor my calling, I don’t just change my life—I create a ripple effect. I inspire others to do the same. Showing up for yourself doesn’t mean you stop showing up for others. It means you finally have the energy, passion, and authenticity to show up fully.
One of the most powerful steps in my journey was creating space to reflect and ask myself honest, sometimes uncomfortable, questions. Why was I so focused on what others thought of me? Why did I feel so guilty when I prioritized my own needs? What did I truly want from my life, not what others expected of me, but what I deeply desired?

These questions weren’t easy to answer, but they were life-changing. They helped me see the patterns that were holding me back, and they gave me the clarity I needed to make different choices.

This is exactly why I created a workbook called Unleashed: Give Yourself a Fresh Start. It’s a 35-page guide filled with the very questions and insights I wish I had 25 years ago. It’s not about setting surface-level goals or checking boxes. It’s about digging deep, breaking free from old patterns, and giving yourself permission to thrive.

Living unleashed doesn’t mean you have every answer or that life suddenly becomes easy. It means you start showing up for yourself—in small ways, in big ways, and in every way that matters. It means letting go of the need for approval, trusting your own voice, and stepping into the life you’ve always been capable of living.
For me, this meant giving myself permission to dream again, to take up space, to say no when I needed to, and to say yes to the things that set my soul on fire. It meant doing the inner work to reconnect with who I truly am, beyond the roles I’ve played and the expectations I’ve tried to meet.

And as I embraced this journey, something amazing happened: I stopped feeling like life was passing me by. I started to feel alive, present, and purposeful. I discovered that when you stop playing small, the world opens up—and so do you.

If any of this resonates with you, know that you’re not alone. So many of us spend years—or even decades—living in ways that feel safe but unfulfilling. But it’s never too late to make a change. You are not stuck, and you are not powerless. The life you truly desire is waiting for you.

I created the Unleashed Workbook as a tool to help you start this journey. It’s a space to reflect, explore, and reconnect with your dreams and goals. It’s not about striving for perfection or meeting external expectations—it’s about coming home to yourself.

If this feels like the right time for you, I’d love for you to explore the workbook. It’s free, and it’s my way of sharing what I’ve learned on my own journey. Because the world needs more people who are alive, vibrant, and unapologetically themselves. And that starts with you.

You are whole. You are worthy. You are capable of living a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your true self.
It’s time to stop playing small. It’s time to unleash the fire within you, to honor your gifts, and to step boldly into your purpose. The journey isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it. And it starts with the simplest, most powerful step: choosing yourself.

Let today be that day.

🌿🌿🌿The first step is going inward.
If you'd like to begin this journey, the Unleashed Workbook is available for you to download. It’s a free resource, created with love and intention, to help you reconnect with your wholeness and step into the life you’ve always deserved.

✨ Turning Pain into Purpose✨

If you’ve been through heartbreak, loss, or life-altering challenges, you know the toll pain takes. It’s easy to think of it as something we need to bury or escape. But what if pain could be more than just a burden? What if it could be the spark for something meaningful?

A few years ago, I faced one of the most defining, painful events of my life. I couldn’t help but ask myself: Why me? But then, somewhere along the way, I began to ask a different question: How can this serve others?

It’s easy to think of pain as something to escape. But what if, instead, we could transform it into fuel?
The deepest pain I’ve faced (and I’ve had my share) wasn’t just an experience, it was a crossroads, asking me: What will you do with this?

When we can reframe our stories this way, everything changes. I won’t say it’s easy, but it’s possible. Your pain can lead you somewhere meaningful. In fact, it may open doors you never imagined.

When we embrace life’s hardest moments, we find a powerful path forward, a way to not just survive but thrive. Pain can show us our potential and call us to a purpose we could never have dreamed up.

Imagine being able to:
💡 Shift from being overwhelmed by the past to feel empowered by your purpose
💡 Harness your unique experiences to create a life that matters deeply
💡 Finally feel that your story isn’t just what happened—it’s what you’ve built

We can reframe our story at every step. Your pain can lead you somewhere transformative if you let it.
Ready to turn your pain into purpose? Here's how: bit.ly/4fbUcxv time is running out to join.
