Tana Toraja belongs on everyone’s travel bucket list. 🇮🇩 From human skulls to hanging coffins... Ke’te’ Kesu’ is a place you have to see to believe. 🦴

There is something so powerful about walking through Ke’te’ Kesu’ and seeing how the Torajan people honour their ancestors. But it’s not just a cemetery, it’s a living history book, and the 400-Year-Old houses are quite impressive too.

In my latest video, I’m taking you into the heart of Tana Toraja to see some of the oldest traditions in Indonesia.

The final chapter of our South Sulawesi adventure has arrived. We’ve officially travelled from the 40,000-year-old prehistoric caves of Leang-Leang all the way to the hidden, solar-powered village of Berua in the heart of the Rammang-Rammang karsts.

If you missed the Premiere, you can now watch the series finale and the entire 4-part journey on the channel!

WHAT WE COVERED IN THE SERIES:

🎨 Ancient hand stencils & prehistoric art
⛰️ The world's 2nd largest limestone landscape
🛶 Navigating the Pute River by traditional boat
⚡ Berua Village - A place only accessible by boat

Did I find the world’s oldest art in a cave in South Sulawesi, Indonesia? 🎨

I always thought the earliest human art was found in Europe, but I was wrong.

About a 1-hour drive north of Makassar is Leang Leang, a surreal landscape of limestone karsts and hidden caves. Inside, researchers discovered hand stencils and animal murals dating back over 40,000 years! 🦴💀

It’s an incredible feeling to stand in the exact spot where our ancestors first felt the need to create.

I’ve put together a silent (almost), 4K walking tour from the caves, through the jagged "Rock Garden," and down by the river (with the distant call to prayer 🕌).

I thought places like this didn't exist anymore... 🌏 Mahoro could be the most relaxing place on earth!

I spent 2 weeks exploring the remote corners of Indonesia and stumbled upon Mahoro Island. There wasn't another soul in sight—just me, the wife, a local boat, and miles of white sand.

If you’re tired of the "tourist traps" and want to see what Indonesia really looks like when you get off the beaten path, this video is for you. It’s a reminder that there are still secret paradises left to find.

🐒 Bucket List: Checked.

I finally made it to Bukit Lawang! We spent the day in the jungle with the team from Sumatran Ethical Expeditions and ended it with a "Jungle Rafting" session on some massive truck inner tubes.

If you’ve ever wanted to see Orangutans in the wild, this is the place. I’ve put all the details of where we stayed and how we did it in the video description!

Question for you: What’s the strangest "vehicle" you’ve ever travelled in? 🚂🛶🛵
