Forget traditional boats! 🛶 In Bukit Lawang, the only way to head back to civilisation after trekking with Orangutans is on a Jungle Raft made of massive truck inner tubes. 🛞💨
It’s bumpy, it’s wet, and it’s a total blast navigating the rapids of the Bohorok River! This is "Jungle Rafting" at its finest - proving you don't need high-tech gear for a world-class adventure. 🌊⛰️
📍 Location: Bukit Lawang, Gunung Leuser National Park, Sumatra.
We stayed with Sumatran Ethical Expeditions in Sampe Raya, a village right next to Bukit Lawang. The rooms were comfortable with views over the local paddy fields, and they provided a fantastic guide for our jungle trek to see the Orangutans. 🐒
