Hello, Shwmae. My name is Isabel, I publish weekly videos, every Monday (and sometimes, if there is a lot going on in my garden, on Fridays aswell)
Welcome to my old cottage garden at the top of the Swansea Valley on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) in Wales, UK.
This garden had been neglected for years when I moved here with my husband 7 years ago. When he died suddenly I decided to try to restore it as a cottage garden.
I have had different gardens and an allotment for many years and have always gardened in a conventional way. This year, shocked by the catastrophic decline in Welsh wildlife I determined to overturn a lifetime of convention, to wild my garden, to provide habitats for as many different types and kinds of wildlife as I possibly can.
So I am on a journey, learning how to garden in a way which is in tune with natural ecosystems and natural processes and which is better for wildlife

Bore Da pawb, I`m sorry, I don`t have a Friday video for you this week. But I do have some news. At the end of June the local town has an Open Gardens Day and I offered to open mine. The organisers came to visit on Monday (in the pouring rain) came back on Wednesday to do a risk assessment and so that`s what I`m going to do. I`ll tell you more about it on Monday.

Noswaith dda pawb, Good evening everyone. I have just returned from an adventure in England. I have been to Manchester for the first ever Wild Gardening Conference, along with 500 other people interested in wild gardening. I didn`t tell anyone that I was going just in case I didn`t get there, but I made it - there and back!! There were interesting speakers, music and poetry, and I met some lovely people. So I`m back buzzing with all sorts of thoughts and ideas, which I will be sharing with you over the weeks ahead. I hope to have a video for you on Monday, when I`ll tell you some of what happened, but I`m super tired, so it may be late!!
