I thought my 1975 GE Portacolor had all original tubes, but the 2GK5 in the VHF tuner had been replaced. Not sure of the brand name, it wiped off when i removed the tube.

This pic was taken before the MGA black and white TV went up in smoke and blew the fuse. It wouldn't sync, then there were snapping noises and a flash from this area.

I'm not sure what could have caused it. The only thing i did do was correct the solder bridge on IC301, maybe it was supposed to be like that?
