This is a short version of Meghalaya folk song Ki Lom Ki Them which is in Khasi language. The Khasi are an indigenous ethnic group in the state of Meghalaya in northeast India. The Khasi are one of the few remaining tribes with a matrilineal society.
The Khasi speak an Austroasiatic language also with over a million speakers. It has official status in some districts of Meghalaya.
