How do you say "to give" in Hebrew? 🇮🇱
Most of you know:
👉 לָתֵת – to give
For example :
👉 אֲנִי נוֹתֵן – I give
👉 אֲנִי נוֹתֶנֶת – I give (feminine)
But today I would like to teach you another very important verb:
👉 לִתְרוֹם – contribute, make a donation
For example :
👉 אֲנִי תּוֹרֵם – I contribute
👉 אֲנִי תּוֹרֶמֶת – I contribute (to (feminine)
This verb comes from the word:
👉 תְּרוּמָה – donation, contribution
It is, in fact, a very well-known word, since תְּרוּמָה is also the name of a famous Torah portion (parasha).
Originally, it referred to the idea of setting aside a portion of one's wealth to support a cause, a community, or a project.
Some examples:
👉 לִתְרוֹם כֶּסֶף – to give money
👉 לִתְרוֹם לְעַמּוּתָה – to make a donation to a charity
👉 תְּרוּמָה נְדִיבָה – a generous donation
Today, I would like to show my support for the Choisir l'École Juive (Choose Jewish School) association, which does remarkable work for Jewish education and the future of our children.
📅 On June 14 and 15, the @Choisir L'école Juive association is holding its fundraising campaign.
👉 תִּרְמוּ בְּנְדִיבוּת !
Make a generous donation!
Every contribution counts and helps support essential families, students, and educational projects.
💙 Thank you to everyone wh
