Homemade Naan Recipe
Ingredients:
8g dry yeast
½ cup lukewarm water
2 cups wheat flour
½ tsp salt
¼ cup yogurt
1 tbsp olive oil
Butter (for cooking & brushing)
Instructions:
Activate Yeast – In a bowl, mix dry yeast with lukewarm water and let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
Prepare Dough – In a large mixing bowl, combine wheat flour, salt, and yogurt. Add the yeast mixture and knead into a soft dough, adding a little water if needed. Drizzle olive oil and knead until smooth.
Rest the Dough – Cover and let it rest for an hour until doubled in size.
Shape the Naan – Punch the dough down, divide it into portions, and roll into oval or round shapes.
Cook – Heat a pan, place a naan, cover and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form. Flip and cook the other side without closing lid. Brush with butter and serve hot!
