On 11 November 1995, Sam Neill was interviewed by ITN's Yasmin Pasha during his promotion of the Australian film Country Life (1994). Known for his role as Dr Alan Grant in the Jurassic Park franchise, Neill was seen as a versatile actor because of his work in both blockbusters and independent cinema. In this interview, Neill talked about being glad that he wasn't famous enough for it to change his life, sympathising with friends whose lives have been affected by working in Hollywood. Sam Neill died on 13 July 2026 in Sydney, Australia. He was 78 years old.
