🦭 Monk seal: thanks to the DigitAP project, camera trap monitoring, which began in the Egadi Islands MPA, continues and extends to the coastal caves of the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area and the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area.
🌊 The goal is to strengthen protection efforts for this species, once widespread in the Mediterranean and now at risk of extinction.
🏞️ The DigitAP project is supported by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
