A customer complained that the cab was uneven, and the truck constantly had to be steered on the road. The first step was to replace the rear torque converter bushings. But the problem didn't completely resolve. After further diagnostics, the decision was made to remove the front cab cushions. And then a very interesting discovery was made 👀 As you can see in the video, one of the components had practically ceased to function. Because of this, the cab had shifted relative to the frame and was uneven. At first glance, it seems like nothing serious. But the consequences could be much more serious. ⚠️ The truck's aerodynamics are compromised ⚠️ Constant steering adjustments are necessary ⚠️ Handling deteriorates ⚠️ The load on the cab suspension components increases And there's a high probability that such a malfunction also affects uneven tire wear. Especially if the problem has been going on for a long time. Owners often start replacing the steering rods, performing wheel alignments, and looking for a suspension problem. But the cause turns out to be elsewhere. Therefore, with high mileage, it's necessary to check not only the steering and suspension, but also the condition of the cab mounts and all its mounting components.
