Thriveni Sangamam Moolamattom. Here it’s the confluence of water from Moolamattom powerhouse tunnel, Ilappally river (Valiyaar), Nachar river.
Location :- Moolamattom, Thodupuzha Taluk, Idukki district.
Important safety note :-
Water level can rise suddenly when the powerhouse releases water. Strong undercurrents, whirlpools form at the confluence. There have been drowning incidents, including a 19-year-old in June 2025 and 2 people earlier. Locals say swimmers get caught off guard by sudden releases.
