Melt in mouth ORANGE Cookies
🧂 Ingredients
• All-purpose flour (maida) – 1/4 cup
• Fine semolina (rava/sooji) – 2 tbsp
• 2 tbsp gram flour or besan
• Powdered sugar – 3 tbsp
• Orange zest
• Ghee or butter – 2.5 tbsp ghee or unsalted butter 3tbsp
• Baking powder – 1/8 tsp
• Salt – a pinch
• Orsnge zest – 1/4 tsp orange zest
• Orange essence (optional)
🍯 Method
• Preheat oven to 170°C. Line a baking tray with butter paper.
• In a bowl, add powder sugar mix with orange zest add ghee/butter mix until creamy and light.
• In another bowl Add flour, rava, besan, baking powder, salt, mix add this to butter sugar mixture
Mix to make a soft dough — it should hold shape (not sticky).
• Make small balls, slightly flatten them
• Place on tray (leave gaps) and bake 15-18 mins until edges turn golden.
• Cool completely — they crisp up as they coo
