I actually love AGGGTM so freaking much. The books were the first thriller-y books and the first booktok books I ever read (that was over a year ago woah) and I had finished all three of them less than 24 hours after I got them. I was kind of prejudiced against everything and all booktok because I for some reason thought all authors that got famous were genuinely dumb. like, in an academic way of looking at it, I thought they were all stupid. I remember reading the line 'it's all a sausage to men which is a saying that's very popular in my native language and it was so so funny to me at that moment and the fact that Holly Jackson, who doesn't speak German, knew it, amazed it and since then I've been obsessed with everything she writes. The AGGGTM books are my favourite series I've ever read and another book by the same author (TRORP) is my favourite book of all time. Holly Jackson is BY FAR my favourite author and I could go on and on about all the details I love about her writing and how impressed I am by how well she does her research- she's literally the reason I decided to write my stories instead of just daydreaming about it. ANYWAY I'M GOING TO STOP RAMBLING ABOUT THAT. My favourite character doesn't exist. Boring answer, I know, but I don't have a favourite character. I love Cara because she's a well-written thought-out character and I love her protectiveness towards Pip. I love Naomi because like how could you not love her and also because she's kind. I love Pip because I see myself in her and I can reasonate with all of her choices. She made me feel less alone. I love Ravi because he's my traumatised little bean but also because he's a young male character that doesn't suck. It sounds weird but like he's nice and humble and bubbly and he reminds me of my best friend. I could talk longer about each of these or write about every character but my head hurts and I feel like you're probably already a little bored, so. My favourite book is the last book. I love that Pip doesn't just immediately move on from her trauma, she's not just 'fine'- there's an actual healing process involved. I love the representation of bad mental health and I also guessed who the DT kller was super quickly so I think that's part of the reason I loved the book so much- I was just really proud. I think Pip and Ravi are so cute in that book like total sweethearts AND MAX GETS JUSTICE FINALLY. I am a total nerd so the microwaving part was really interesting to me and I kept fact checking everything and it was just fun idk. Also I'm one of the people that actually loved the three dot ending I loved it so so so so much it was amazing thank you Holly Jackson's niece (I think it was her niece? I don't have the books here with me so I can't check. They're sadly at home and I'm in another country. I miss them.) ALSOALSOALSO I have the pretty special edition books of AGGGTM, GGBB, AGAD and KJ so yeah they're amazing you should buy them I'm going to shut up now
