From July 1, 2025, Indian Railways is bringing a major change in the Tatkal ticket booking system. Now, only Aadhaar-authenticated users will be allowed to book Tatkal train tickets.
According to the directive issued by the Railway Ministry on June 10, 2025, this rule is being implemented to ensure that the benefits of the Tatkal Scheme reach genuine passengers and prevent misuse by touts and middlemen.
This update will affect all zones and is aimed at streamlining and securing the booking process.
