A king saw a statue in a dream — but Daniel said it wasn't
just a statue. It was the rise and fall of world empires
before they happened.
In Daniel 2, Nebuchadnezzar demands the impossible: tell me
my dream AND its meaning. Babylon's wise men panic. But
Daniel says: "There is a God in heaven who reveals secrets."
The statue: a head of gold, chest of silver, belly of bronze,
legs of iron, feet of iron and clay. Many interpreters see
Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and the divided kingdoms
after.
But the most important part isn't the gold. It's the STONE —
cut without hands — that strikes the statue, crushes every
empire to dust, and becomes a mountain filling the earth.
Every metal is a kingdom built by man. Every human kingdom
eventually cracks. But Daniel 2:44 says the God of heaven
will set up a kingdom that shall NEVER be destroyed.
History is not out of control. God is still ruling the
timeline.
