About the Speaker: Dr. Naveen Kumar C is a Professor of Psychiatry and Head of Community Psychiatry Unit at NIMHANS, Bengaluru. He specialises in community psychiatry, telepsychiatry, and forensic psychiatry playing a key role in extending mental-health services into rural and underserved areas. Dr. Kumar has led several innovative initiatives, including the Taluk Mental Health Programme (TMHP) across multiple districts of Karnataka under the national mental health framework, and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of Tele-MANAS, India’s flagship tele-mental health network. He is also one of the principal contributors to India’s Telepsychiatry Operational Guidelines (2020), published by the Indian Psychiatric Society, NIMHANS, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
