Even with financial support from the government and various NGOs, many farmers are losing faith in agriculture due to persistent adverse conditions. Natural calamities such as cyclones and droughts, fluctuating market prices, the impact of mechanization, and the growing effects of climate change have all contributed to their financial instability. The economic struggles of farmers have also had a ripple effect on agro-based industries, leading to business slowdowns and financial distress in related sectors. These challenges, in turn, are impacting the broader Indian economy. In response to this pressing situation, Teju Films aims to create a meaningful feature film that highlights the realities faced by farmers. The film seeks to raise awareness about the urgent need to improve farmers’ financial conditions, explore effective administrative policies, and showcase the types of support necessary to uplift the agricultural sector.
