Dhanushkodi (near Rameswaram) literally means “end of the bow.”
Two legends explain the name:
A piece of Shiv Dhanush (from Sita’s swayamvar) fell here.
After the Lanka war, at Ram Setu (Adam’s Bridge), Vibhishana asked Rama to break the bridge - Rama tapped it with the end of his bow.
In this short, we revisit both stories, the routes through Rameswaram/Palk Strait, and why this coast still captivates travelers and devotees.
