This sawmill used to be my childhood golf cart, and my dad turned it into a fully working log-cutting machine!
He kept the engine and wheels from the cart, and the gas pedal now spins the saw blade. It’s actually a safety feature, because he has to stand behind the mill and push it along the log while it cuts, keeping him safely away from the spinning blade. Yes it still takes gas and had an oil change yesterday.
