This chicken in salsa verde is always a hit at my house 🥰 It's easy to make, packed with flavor, and incredibly versatile 😋 Use it for tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, sopes, taquitos, or however you like to enjoy it!
INGREDIENTS:
For the chicken:
► 5 garlic cloves
► 1 cup of water
► 2 lbs. chicken
► 2 bay leaves
► 1/4 tsp whole black pepper
► 1/2 white onion
► Salt to taste
For the salsa:
► 1 lb. tomatillos
► 2 serrano peppers
► 1 jalapeño
► 2 garlic cloves
► Small piece of white onion
► Small bunch of cilantro
► 1/8 tsp black pepper
► 1/8 tsp cumin
► 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
► 1 cup of water (from where we boiled the tomatillos)
To cook the chicken:
► 1/2 small white onion
► 1/2 tbsp chicken bouillon
To prepare the tostadas:
► Some tostadas
► Some beans
► Some lettuce
► Pickled red onions
► Some crema Mexicana
► Some queso cotija or queso fres
