Recipe ~
Add 1/4 cup Toor Dal washed
1 onion chopped
2-3 Tomatoes chopped
2-3 Drumsticks chopped
Water as required
Lemon sized tamarind soaked in water to a pressure cooker and cook for 3-4 whistles
In a blender add 1 tsp peppercorns 1 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tsp cumin garlic cloves and blend
Mash and sieve the veggies and dal add water accordingly
In a pot add 2 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard & cumin 2-3 green chillies chopped along with dried red chilli, curry leaves and pinch of Asafoetida and turmeric then add blended powder and rasam
Add salt according to your taste and some chopped cilantro then bring to a boil
Serve hot with hot rice
