Ingredients
• 6–8 small green apples (Granny Smith is best)
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 1 cup water
• 160 ml corn syrup
• Green food coloring (optional, for brighter color)
• Wooden sticks (6–8)
Optional: A bowl of hot water to dip apples briefly to help candy stick.

Instructions
1. Prep Apples:
Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Remove stems and insert wooden sticks.
(Optional: Dip apples in hot water for a few seconds and dry to help candy coat evenly.)
2. Make Candy Coating:
• In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup, food coloring ( optional ).
• Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
• Stop stirring and let it boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
3. Coat Apples:
• Tilt the saucepan and carefully dip each apple into the hot candy syrup, turning to coat evenly.
• Let excess drip off, then place apples on parchment paper to cool and harden.
4. Cool & Serve:
Let candy apples cool completely for 15–20 minutes before serving.
