Yet there’s a photo where he calmly poses in front of the White House with his son—like an ordinary tourist. At the time, Escobar was the head of the Medellín Cartel and was on the radar of U.S. authorities, but according to rumors, he managed to enter the United States without much trouble. Because of that, this picture is still called one of the most surreal moments in criminal history: a wanted man, right next to a symbol of power.
