Oven Tandoori Chicken (Restaurant-Style) 🔥🍗
This easy oven recipe gives you the same smoky, spicy flavor as restaurant tandoori chicken.
Ingredients
5–6 whole chicken pieces (with thigh)
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp paprika
½ tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
½ tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp tandoori masala
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp green chillies paste
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
2½ tbsp olive oil
½ cup yoghurt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken
Wash and pat dry the chicken pieces. Make deep cuts on each piece so the marinade can absorb well.
2. Make the Marinade
In a large bowl add yoghurt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, paprika, turmeric, Kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, tandoori masala, and black pepper. Mix well to make a thick marinade.
3. Marinate the Chicken
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them thoroughly. Cover and marinate for at least 2–4 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator for best flavor.
4. Preheat the Oven
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
5. Bake the Chicken
Place the marinated chicken pieces on a baking tray lined with foil or on a rack.brush with oil for better grill.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, turning once halfway through. Brush a little oil on top if needed.
6. Final Roast
For a slightly charred restaurant look, broil/grill for 5 minutes at the end.
Serving
Serve hot with naan, mint chutney, onion rings, and lemon wedges. 🍋
