content creators don't owe you anything. their face, name, age, location, and relationships are their private details. we also don't owe you friendship. as creators, we are here to do that: create and entertain. just because someone's in the same community or fandom as you doesn't mean that they're looking for friends or want to interact with you on a personal level. some people want to simply be media personalities and THAT'S OKAY. viewers constantly breaking creators' boundaries is why so many quit. it is NOT okay to ask for someone's personal details. ever. it's also not okay to message creators, ESPECIALLY on their business sites to ask to be friends. you do not know these people, no matter if they look the same age as you, they're a therian, a furry, etc. not only is it uncomfortable for the creator, it's insane unsafe! even though i appreciate you all: no, i do not want to be friends with a viewer who i do not know. no, i do not want to friends with someone who is 5+ years younger than me. no, i do not want to show my face, give my name, my age, or personal details of my life. no, i cannot spend every single hour on youtube or making content. stop being parasocial. on top of this, please stop messaging me on etsy to talk about non business related things.
