The 1st Voice of Muslim Youth Provincial Election Engagement Session aimed at providing a platform for Muslim youth in Ottawa, Canada to become both politically engaged and voice the issues that matter and affect them. The event took place on Saturday, September 10th at Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive from 6:30pm -- 9:30pm; this event was non-partisan and invited candidates representing the four political parties running in the provincial election. **** We would like to thank the South Nepean Muslim Community (SNMC) and the Ottawa Muslim Women's Organization (OMWO) for financially supporting this initiative. **** Voice of Muslim Youth (VOMY) is a new group in Ottawa organized by youth for youth that hopes to address several of the serious social issues facing Ottawa's Muslim community.
