The Senate Constitution and Justice Committee approved, this Wednesday (8), a proposed amendment to the Constitution that ends compulsory retirement as a form of punishment for magistrates and members of the Public Prosecutor's Office in cases of crimes. The text provides for loss of office, suspension of remuneration and removal during the process, and still needs to be voted on in two rounds in the plenary to continue processing. This Thursday's (09) Conversas Cruzadas, hosted by Eduardo Rosa, welcomes live lawyer, university professor and retired judge of the Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Sul (TJRS) Diógenes Vicente Hassan Ribeiro and lawyer, university professor and Master of Law Pedro Guilherme Müller Kurban, to discuss the progress in the Senate of the proposal that provides for the end of compulsory retirement as punishment.
