Here we are almost at the end of January, and the only sewing I have done is a jacket and altering an evening gown for a friend.
I was buried in tulle, glitter, and beads 😂 I removed a layer of netting from the underskirt, shortened the straps, and made the bodice smaller (which meant resewing the invisible zipper and hand sewing beads back on in places where they had to be removed.)

I have been seeing similar oversized sweatshirts in boutiques, and thought “what a cute gift idea”. Of course, I made them myself so I could choose the colors I wanted for my recipients.

A little behind-the-scenes look for you. I have been experimenting with filming tutorials. This is my current set up when I want to show the machine stitching. The awkward angle of the sewing machine, combined with the tripod in my sight line makes the actual sewing a little bit challenging 😂
I have been sewing on my BERNINA 535, which is a great little work horse, since my BERNINA 770 QE PLUS has been away for her annual maintenance.
