Music and vintage videogames, not necessarily in this order.

I was planning on releasing a playthrough video of Road Fighter this week, but while I can beat the first loops somewhat consistently, I'm having a hard time beating the second loop (and that's needed to see the true ending). I want to do it fair and square (no cheats or save states), so it will have to wait a bit longer. Meanwhile, here's one of the songs I sent to the 2026 SMS Power! competition. There are two more that I'll post in the coming weeks.

I've received some great feedback regarding Hang-On Enhanced! Some people have mentioned they prefer the original Master System palette overall, and I've been telling them I was aiming to be the closest to the original arcade palette I could get. Here's an image comparing on the left, the original SMS palette, in the middle the arcade original game and to the right the Enhanced hack. Only the last screenshot from the arcade was taken from a video instead of an emulator, hence the slightly inferior quality, but I hope this shows what the objective was.

Tomorrow is the deadline for the SMS Power! annual competition. This year I'll be participating with 4 entries: one in the coding category, one in the hacks category and two in the music category. You should expect me posting those entries here on my channel for the next 4 weeks, then. Last year, besides posting a full gameplay of my hack, I also made a live stream playing the game. Please, let me know if you'd be interested in that again this year.

I've recently received some feedback regarding my chiptune videos and I'd like to know what you guys think about some of my choices for how I make them. Some people mentioned maybe there's too much info to digest. For instance, about the background in those videos, what do you prefer:

This was the first Tectoy product I ever bought. It is called "Pense Bem", known in other parts of the world as Smart Start. It is a computer of sorts, you can play with it using one of its built-in programs or by using special books that have multiple choice questions to be answered using its keyboard. It was at my mother's house, when I brought it home it wasn't working (half the keyboard was faulty), but I managed to fix it. Let me know if you'de be interested in a video about it!

In this video the nice folks at Scene World Podcast interview the man who made Paprium playable on Retroarch! He goes into detail about how it was done, and even shows part of the reverse engineered code. I was there as guest and had a blast! The interview starts at minute 52:39 into the podcast.

It's been a while since I last posted a video with a speech track, and since then YouTube introduced this AI auto-dubbing, so this is the first video I post that uses that. If you were surprised with a weird voice in your own language in this video, that's the reason (you can always go back to the original English track manually, I guess). Please, let me know if this is something you find useful or if it does more harm than good, the feedback is welcome.
