I have 2 "scripts*" done at this point, one on Lady Gaga's male "drag king/male alter ego" Jo Calderone, and one on how Jack's Mannequin's "Everything in Transit" seemed to spookily Foreshadowing Andrew McMahon's cancer diagnosis. What do yall want first?

* well, i'm calling these scripts.It's more just a collection of bullet points that I want to go over when I discuss each topic.

Had a fun time on stream today!

Planted a lot of seeds & went into a lot of theories I have about the podcast.

The cast of characters (poet, showgirl, director, producer), the gender performance, a lot of bigger picture view stuff and so much more.

It's almost like I was right when I said Colleen's apology was a calculated move to minimize legal risk while at the same time maximizing her potential to profit off how she's harmed others. Songs are usually considered fictional works and seldom admissible as evidence of a crime (when the singer is white, that is). They're also HIGHLY monetizable.

So I've been thinking about What's Influencing Us. It is a show that's really important to me because I want to do some shorter, timely, regular commentary content in between my longer pieces. However, with my life and energy levels, it's been hard to script, film, and edit stuff quick enough for that show to be timely.

I think I'm getting into my head about it too much, so I am planning to do something more regular that's UNSCRIPTED and more of a short ADHD ramble out in my garden, the way the most recent episode "Edgy Guys and Angel Girls" was filmed.

I think something more casual and less scripted will be good long term. I have to stop feeling like I need to overthink things. Plus... I like just being able to run it as a conversation between friends in the garden.

Hey yall, sorry I've been quiet. This time of year is really hard for me cause the weather causes bad pain and exhaustion flares. I've got a few things filmed to edit and hope to get a video out today that is my one year update of Great Recessioning.
