Wires Don’t Talk is a channel about life, meaning, and what it means to be human.
I explore the stories that shape us and the moments that stay with us long after they’re over. Sometimes that story lives in pop culture. Sometimes it lives in a character, a piece of art, or a moment most people scroll past. These videos aren’t about breaking down media. They’re reflections on what stories reveal about us: how we grow, how we lose ourselves, how we come back, and how we learn to live with an open heart. If you’ve ever felt understood by a story before you fully understood yourself, you’re in the right place.
This channel is simply me following what moves me.
If it resonates with you, I’m grateful you’re here.

My latest video is about my failure to see the beauty right in front of me and how I let fear determine what I noticed. This photo is another example: I never realized how beautiful the lights are so high up.
I took this while landing into Charlotte, North Carolina on my way back from West Virginia this weekend. It was a weird trip on paper but I found a lot of love in that state. I wouldn’t have noticed it if I didn’t let go of fear.
Check out my latest video on Mushishi to learn just how powerful letting go is.

The loudest game of my life taught me the quietest lesson: the crickets were always there; I just never listened. Mushishi helped me understand why that matters. New video soon.

Last night, something broke in me...and something opened. I refereed my first soccer match of the season, and it was the loudest match I’ve ever been in. Students yelling, parents screaming, players shouting. Noise everywhere. For years I treated the pitch like a battlefield, bracing myself for war against all of it. But this time… I heard something else.
In the middle of all that chaos, I heard the crickets. They were at so many of my games over the years, but I never listened. And in that moment, the battlefield fell away. I wasn’t fighting anymore. I was free.
It reminded me of something I’ve always wanted to watch: Mushishi. A story about noticing the things no one else sees and finding beauty where others only see chaos. So that’s what I’m going to dive into next. I can't wait to share that story with you.
Because maybe you don’t need to silence the storm. Maybe you just need to hear the crickets.

Driving my daughter to daycare this morning, I watched the clouds pulling back like a blanket and it reminded me of an important lesson I’ve been learning lately: You aren’t the clouds. You’re the sky watching them drift by.
It’s easy to get lost in the noise: the storms inside, the chaos outside. But when you stop clinging to every passing storm, you start to see the beauty in it all. Even the storms themselves. So, when the clouds roll in, remember they aren’t you. You’re the blue sky.
Funny thing is, they said it would rain today. But to me, the forecast still calls for blue skies.

Thank you for 10,000 subs!
When I started this journey five years ago, I was fed so many lies about what success had to look like. But something funny happened...once I stopped chasing all that noise, I started growing. I started reaching people. Not by grinding. Not by gaming the system. Just by being real. So now, I stopped chasing trends. I stopped trying to obey an algorithm. I let go of fake deadlines and pressure.
My videos don’t come from trend-hunting, binge-watching anime, or reading a dozen books in a week. They come from my life and what I’m actually going through. And I wanted to start sharing that process with you.
These new members-only videos are like journal entries. Raw. Honest. Not focused on Japanese pop culture like the main channel but focused on where the ideas come from. My truth. My real moments.
It’s never expected, but always appreciated, if you’d like to become a member here on YouTube or on Patreon to watch them.
Thank you for being here.
Stay rested.

I used to obsess over results like these in the first 24 hours. But this time, I woke up that morning and only cared if this video helped someone. It’s funny how when you let go of the reigns and stop obsessing but create from the heart, it pays off far bigger than any brainstorming session. It’s not the numbers that matter to me anymore, it’s that one comment that said “I needed to hear this. Thank you.”
