An 18-year-old New Jersey man has been charged with murder after police say they found his 69-year-old grandmother dead with stab wounds to her face and neck and knives protruding from her face. Prosecutors allege Louis Brown called 911 to report a murder before officers arrived at the home and took him into custody at the scene.

A Florida middle school teacher is facing child abuse charges after deputies say she ordered a student to slap a classmate for talking during class. Authorities allege 64-year-old Judith Clark, a sixth-grade teacher at Electa Lee Magnet Middle School in Bradenton, twice asked students, “Who wants to slap him?” before directing a 12-year-old student to hit the boy. The student later told deputies he only complied because he was afraid to disobey the teacher. Clark was arrested on May 19 and charged with child abuse without great bodily harm after the incident was reported by the student’s parents.
