I had never been a video editor, but spent 25 years in front of a TV camera. So, this was my first attempt at editing. I'll get better, I promise!
I had tried "vacation" tiny living already, but on June 10th, 2022, both my SUV+ tiny camper were destroyed when someone ran a stop sign.
Now, after all this time recovering from 28 injures in #canada and with little replacement from my insurance company to date (I had the top package)...I have decided that wasting time was a waste of time.
I'm with my tiny rescue dog Buddy and host a women's mental health show @TheInnerShiftPodcast. Along the way I'm going to write my 2nd book on people who fell between the cracks

Hello Friends...
Since arriving in Ottawa 5 days ago I've been pretty consumed with a MAJOR life change...and I can't wait to update you all.
I bought a van!!!! And, my "no-build build" starts next week!
I can't wait to show you the journey. I've been trying hard to very quickly return my SUV to a "car"...(spending a lot of time in my storage unit)....and grateful to my friends AND my Ohio family, who all helped make this possible.
She's a high top, extended Ram Promaster.
I can stand up to change my pants!

Hi Everyone: Tomorrow my episode on the trip across Canada and 4 states in winter comes out.
I just read through every single comment about the robbery at the storage unit...where I lost some important belongings.
Many people said nice things.
But, I had to read people saying I had no right to buy nice coffee if I'm a nomad. Or that I should have known better because Mexico is dangerous. It happened in Vancouver....Canada....
Many YouTubers are on here to make money and get followers, and will do a lot to achieve that...
I am not.
I am here to inform and share, and simply share my experience....what it's really like.
LET ME BE VERY CLEAR....If you think this a place to lash out at me, or others....or be a bully....I invite you to leave...
And I'll buy whatever kind of coffee I want....after a week of gas station coffee.

Hello Friends. As most of you know, I don't usually post videos until after I have left a place for safety reasons. But.....
TODAY Buddy and I are flying to Vancouver. There are 3 more stories in the Baja, Mexico series to come. But, YouTube has made some changes (AI has something to do with it) that make it harder for "travel" videos to get seen and hit the mysterious algorithm.
This comes at a time that my content was going to change radically anyway :)
SURPRISE...I'M GOING HOME TO BUY A CARGO VAN...TO DO A "NO-BUILD BUILD WITH HELP FROM SOME FRIENDS IN OTTAWA.
As I drive across Canada starting tomorrow...I'm going to be thinking about the next season. It takes a long time to drive across Canada!! :)
But, I'm curious as to what YOU want to see about the process.... I am trading in my tough little SUV :( but going into the third year of #nomad #vanlife I want to stand up when I put pants on :)
Still no insurance settlement from the car accident approaching 4 years ago....but I decided to just bite the bullet.
