There seems to be a prominent misalignment in the interests of the US and Isr*el. To be specific, it can be said that interests of the US are actually centred around energy. However, the main interest of Isr*el is regarding the formation of a Greater Is*ael. This is very much evident from several events that have taken place during the latest escalation. While the escalation between Isr*el and Iran have started to take place in terms of the energy front now, this is not very much desirable on the part of the US, simply because the US has its own goal regarding the energy resources. As a result, the US would have never wanted the war to start in terms of the energy front. On the other hand, we can see that after Hezbollah hit Isr*el in order to avenge the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Isr*el, as a retaliation, hit back and got a very good reason to actively start gen*cide and mass displacement in Lebanon, which can be called a part of its project of forming the Greater Is*ael.
