BREAKING: The FCT High Court has ordered the final forfeiture of properties, including N4.6 billion jewellery and N4.3 billion exotic cars, linked to Aisha Achimugu, to the federal government.
The properties include:
- Jewellery worth N4.6 billion
- 11 exotic cars worth N4.3 billion
- $50,000
- N30 million
Justice Jude Onwugbuzie granted the final forfeiture application filed by the EFCC and dismissed Achimugu's objections.
Aisha Achimugu, who has been in a running battle with the EFCC, had lost $13 million to the federal government on March 25, when the Federal High Court ordered the final forfeiture of the funds linked to Aisha Achimugu and her firm Oceangate Engineering Oil & Gas Ltd.
EFCC had argued that Achimugu's firm (Oceangate) used the funds suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activity to acquire oil blocks from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.
Her lawyers argued that the $13m was from her business earnings and gifts she received, but the EFCC rejected the company’s claim that the money comprised gifts received by Achimugu, noting that she did not appear before the court to justify the funds.
They stated that part of the money originated from funds transferred by a state government to contractors for public projects, but were subsequently moved to Oceangate despite the absence of any contractual relationship.

Someone writes "Why are President Tinubu, the APC, and their supporters so afraid of international intervention despite the worsening insecurity across Nigeria?
If they think the killing of innocent Nigerians means nothing, it means a lot to the people and leaders of Oyo State. The kidnapping and killing of our teachers and the fact that our children were held hostage by kidnappers in the bush for over 50 days is something that must be questioned."
What do you think their concern is? Why do you think they have a problem with it?

Why the Kidnapped Principal, Mrs. Alamu, Deserves a National/State Award
In moments of crisis, true leaders reveal themselves. Mrs. Rachael Folake Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State displayed extraordinary courage, resilience, and selfless leadership during the abduction ordeal involving teachers and pupils.
Despite the fear and uncertainty of captivity, she reportedly remained calm, encouraged both staff and pupils, and put their welfare above her own. Her strength helped sustain hope and morale until their eventual release.
Education is not only about teaching in the classroom; it is also about protecting, guiding, and inspiring students in the most difficult circumstances. Mrs. Alamu embodied these values and demonstrated the highest ideals of the teaching profession.
Recognizing her with a National/state award would not only honour her bravery but also celebrate the sacrifices teachers and school leaders make daily in service to society. Such recognition would send a powerful message that courage, dedication, and commitment to the safety of children are valued and appreciated.
Mrs. Alamu's resilience deserves to be remembered, and her service should be celebrated as an inspiration to educators across Oyo State and Nigeria.

Still on freed Oriire students and teachers!!!
Sheriffden Ojon Omo Eko writes
"The six suspects initially apprehended by the Oyo State Police Command for allegedly serving as local informants, couriers, and logistics providers for kidnap syndicates contributed to obtaining network information linking to family members of the terrorists responsible for kidnapping children and teachers in Oyo State.
The security agencies threatened to harm their family members if any of the children were harmed, and their family members also spoke to them on the phone to release the children for their own safety. Terrorists do not want to lose their mothers, wives, children, siblings, and family members, so they have no option but to let the children go peacefully.
The six suspects arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for acting as local informants, couriers, and logistics providers for kidnap syndicates are:
Babangida Buhari Awalu: A commercial motorcyclist (Okada rider) arrested in the Ojoo area of Ibadan while acting as a courier to collect ransom.
Kabiru Aliyu: A commercial motorcyclist also apprehended in the Ojoo area for allegedly attempting to retrieve ransom funds.
Adewuyi Sunday: Arrested during follow-up investigations alongside other suspects.
Ayanwola Gbenga: Tracked and arrested during follow-up operations.
Rafiu Abdulmajeed: Apprehended in connection to logistical channels used by the bandits.
Adeleye Ayomide: A university student tracked down by military personnel after being found with a victim's phone and linked to ransom..
Well done job to all the security agencies including Sunday igboho iru ekun security team "
May Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu succeed

2. The operations, which lasted for more than a month, focused on identifying the terrorists kingpins that masterminded the kidnapping, bursting and dismantling their networks and logistics links, including their informants and hideouts located within the Old Oyo National Park Forest, Oyo State.
