Nearly 3 years after Yellow Corp collapsed and wiped out 30,000 jobs — former workers may FINALLY be getting paid for vacation and sick leave they already earned.
The Teamsters just dropped a memo with a major update on where things stand. And here's what stopped me — $601 million is sitting in Yellow's estate right now. The money is THERE.
But there are still legal hurdles in the way. And if you were a Yellow employee there is something you need to do RIGHT NOW to make sure you don't miss your payment when distributions go out.
I break it all down in the new video — plus two more stories every driver needs to hear this week.

Three people died on the Florida Turnpike. Florida's Attorney General took it all the way to the Supreme Court — arguing that California and Washington handed out CDLs to drivers who never should have had them. And you know what the Supreme Court did? Threw the whole case out. Didn't even want to hear it.
That's story one.
A Texas jury just came back with a $49 million verdict against a trucking company and their driver after a fatal crash in Midland. The investigation revealed falsified logs, ignored ELD alerts, and a carrier that put drivers on public roads with zero safety infrastructure. Not a single training manual. Not one written policy. Nothing.
That's story two.
And story three — somebody was shot and killed at a Love's Travel Stop in Horse Cave, Kentucky at 4 in the morning. Truck stop violence is real and it's happening more than it gets reported. I'm talking about it because somebody has to.
Three stories. All of them matter to every driver out here running these roads.
I broke down every detail — what it means, what you need to know, and what you need to do to protect yourself.

The CVSA ran an unannounced Brake Safety Day across 47 jurisdictions and the results should have every commercial driver paying attention.
Out of 4,021 vehicles inspected — 574 were placed out of service for critical brake violations. That's nearly 1 in 7 trucks pulled off the road in a single day. No warning. No heads up. Just inspectors on the road catching what's really out there.
The 2026 focus was drums and rotors. And if yours are worn, cracked, or out of spec — they are actively looking for that.
And here's what a lot of drivers don't realize — CVSA Brake Safety Week is coming August 23rd through August 29th. That one is announced. You have time to prepare
But you have to start now.
I broke down everything you need to know — the numbers, what inspectors are targeting, the 20% defective brake rule, and exactly what you should be doing before your next inspection.
Don't get caught slipping on the side of the road.

Georgia just extended their diesel tax suspension through June 3rd and if you are running routes through Georgia right now you are leaving money on the table if you don't know about this.
That's 37.3 cents off every gallon of diesel. On a 50 gallon fill up that's nearly $19 back in your pocket on one stop. Fill up multiple times a week and that adds up fast.
Governor Kemp made this move because of rising fuel costs tied to the conflict in Iran. But this relief expires June 3rd — after that it's gone.
I broke down exactly what this means for your operation and what you need to be doing right now to protect your bottom line when diesel is high.
Don't miss this one.

Self-driving trucks are no longer just a future conversation… states are now pushing back hard. 🚛🤖
Some say autonomous trucks could improve efficiency. Others say they threaten jobs, safety, and the future of trucking as we know it.

Prayers up for the family involved in this tragic situation. 🙏🏾💔
Truck stops are supposed to be a place for drivers to rest and recharge — not violence. Sad situation all around.

Ohio Troopers are now using seized semi trucks for traffic enforcement along the Ohio Turnpike. 👀🚛
Can’t lie… this is a different level of enforcement right here. What do y’all think — smart strategy or going too far?

The human smugglers are at it AGAIN — and this time they stuffed 19 people including an unaccompanied minor inside a belly dump trailer on I-35 in Laredo, Texas.
A couple weeks ago I told y'all about the 22 people that were found smuggled inside the cab of a truck. Now THIS. The driver tried to bypass an immigration checkpoint — and that decision ended his freedom on the spot. Border Patrol stopped that truck, searched that trailer, and found 19 human beings packed inside a trailer designed to haul gravel and sand. Including a child. Alone.
The driver was arrested on human smuggling charges and those 19 individuals were taken in for processing and deportation.
This is why I keep saying — know what is in your trailer. Do your pre-trip inspection. Check your load. Because as a driver and owner-operator YOU are responsible for what is on your truck. And if somebody tries to use your equipment to do something like this — the consequences can destroy your career and your freedom.
The smugglers are getting more desperate. They are using more types of commercial vehicles to try to move people through checkpoints. And we need to stay informed so we can protect ourselves and our businesses out here.
I broke down the full story plus three things every driver needs to know to protect themselves. Go watch it right now.

The Department of Labor just put employers on NOTICE — and if you are hiring foreign commercial vehicle drivers or you share the road with them, you need to hear this.
The DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification just dropped new guidance that says any employer bringing in foreign workers to operate a commercial vehicle MUST include an English Language Proficiency standard in their job applications and labor certification filings. If they leave it out — the DOL will issue a Notice of Deficiency and PAUSE the entire application. It stops moving until they fix it.
Now the FMCSA already has rules on the books that say drivers who lack sufficient English skills cannot legally operate a commercial vehicle in the United States. But the problem was that employers were skipping over that requirement on the application side and nobody was consistently stopping them — until NOW.
This ties directly into two Executive Orders from the White House — one on commonsense rules of the road for truck drivers and one designating English as the official language of the United States. The government is serious about this and the enforcement mechanism now has real teeth.
As a driver and owner-operator this matters to you because communication on these roads is life or death. Reading signs, talking to law enforcement, handling emergencies — all of that requires clear communication. And for every driver who did things the right way and met every standard — this levels the playing field.
I broke it all down on the channel. Go watch it right now.
