Lion at Mikumi National Park

A famous lion is said to be wandering around Mikumi National Park's northernmost area, and the sight of a herd of wildebeest is frequently encouraging. Wildebeest are a major food source for Mikumi lions, who will seize any chance that comes their way.

Lions appear to be aware of when the chances of success are excessively high or potentially unsatisfactory. Although most stalks fail, huge cats are built to hunt.

However, because they spend 80% of their time sleeping or loitering, lions appear to be stressed. Lions are well known for their tree-climbing skills, which they are not typically used to doing, as in some other places of Mikumi National Park.
