Announcement! Our work on Jurassic Worlds viral marketing is now the subject of academic study! Yes, thanks to Kim Walden of Hertfordshire University who just published the book ‘A Transmedia Archeology of Film Promotion Online’ a few days ago.
There’s an entire section dedicated to our work on Masrani Global and beyond, and suggests that film websites are worthy of consideration as cultural artefacts in their own right, plus she goes deep into the relationships between fans, studio and the fictional worlds we build upon. So despite a lot of the sites we worked on being currently down/unavailable right now our legacy lives on; even being taught at lectures at the University, or so we’re told. Crazy!
It’s available in Hardback or E-book from all major retailers.
HUGE thank you for Kim Walden for reaching out to us and we hope this goes to show the importance of world building online via ‘in-universe’ content for large IPs like Jurassic.
And let’s hope for Jurassic 8 we get to jump back in to creating more.
