In 2017, Jack Hubbell moved from Cleveland, Ohio, to the Republic of Georgia. After playing in a number of experimental projects, he created Deadpilot with a friend and fellow immigrant, Saladin, who had fled his home in Iran due to political danger. As tensions seem to be rising all across the globe at this very moment, and the band's current city of Tbilisi is being rocked with protests screaming for revolution, the members of Deadpilot believe it has become incredibly important to offer some kind of release in the music they make, finding goth-inspired post-punk to be the best platform to encapsulate these feelings.
