Tried Battlefield 2042 last night. Let’s just say you won’t be seeing any gameplay footage from me—unless you want to watch a grown adult questioning all their life choices. Out of all the Battlefield games I’ve played, this is the first one that made me want to write a heartfelt apology to my hard drive for installing it. I get that they’re trying to keep up with Call of Duty, but in doing so they seem to have misplaced the entire Battlefield vibe—which, for me, was kind of the point.
