But in the time since, it’s been steadily revealed that the anime’s future is looking brighter than ever with new material now in the works.

Solo Leveling Season 3 has just gotten its most concrete update to date as D&C Media, the original publisher behind the Solo Leveling webtoon release, has shared a new quarterly report that confirms that a third season is now in the works. While Solo Leveling Season 3 has yet to officially be announced by the anime’s own production team, D&C Media is listing an “expected” 2027-2028 release for the next wave of episodes. Which is going to be a bit of a wait for fans eagerly waiting for it.

Hiromi Higuruma is undeniably one of the most naturally gifted sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen. Despite having almost no experience in the jujutsu world, he is considered an absolute prodigy with raw talent that Ryomen Sukuna himself compared to Satoru Gojo.

Here is a breakdown of what makes Higuruma so exceptionally strong:

1. Unprecedented Growth Rate
Higuruma’s most terrifying asset is his adaptability and genius-level intellect. Prior to the Culling Game, he was just a regular defense attorney. Upon awakening his cursed technique, he analyzed its mechanics, reverse-engineered the fundamentals of cursed energy, and reached the level of a Grade 1 Sorcerer in just 12 days. During his battle with Sukuna, he learned incredibly advanced, high-level techniques like Domain Amplification and Reverse Cursed Technique (RCT) on the fly just by experiencing them.

* Confiscation: This penalty temporarily strips the opponent of their Cursed Technique. If the opponent relies heavily on their technique, they are left defenseless. If they don't have a technique (like Yuji), it confiscates their cursed energy entirely.
* Death Penalty & The Executioner's Sword: The ultimate punishment. If the target is given the death penalty, Higuruma's standard weapon transforms into the Executioner's Sword. This sword is a guaranteed one-hit kill. Even a small scratch from this blade will instantly extinguish the target's life, no matter how durable they are.

4. Versatile Melee Combat
Higuruma is not just a spellcaster; he is highly capable in close-quarters combat. He wields a judge's gavel infused with cursed energy that he can seamlessly alter in size, length, and flexibility during a fight. Combined with his high battle IQ, he was able to hold his own in hand-to-hand combat against physical powerhouses like Yuji Itadori.

The Golden Land arc officially begins at Chapter 77. With Season 1 ending at Chapter 60, there are only 16 chapters covering the Continued Northern Travels and Divine Revolte arcs left, with all 16 chapters will be adapted in Season 2, which consists of 10 episodes.
Because of this tight episode count, Season 2 will most likely end right as the party reaches the Golden Land, around Chapter 80 or 81. This would create a major cliffhanger and neatly set up Season 3 or a movie.
The Golden Land arc itself spans about 28 chapters, running from Chapter 77 to Chapter 104, making it large enough to carry an entire follow up season or a theatrical adaptation on its own
