The Biwin Amber ME300 microSD Express card has 20% off until the 25th May (UK and DE only). #Ad
This thing is basically made for the Switch 2. It leverages PCIe NVMe performance to deliver rapid read and write speeds up to 900 MB/s Read & 800 MB/s Write. It's also SD 7.1 compliant.
The 1 TB version gives you 942 GB of useable storage and is currently listed at £ 195.99.
I got to Master Ball tier on Pokémon Champions using this team! Rental code: L67XQJNX27
Loving it so far because I enjoy playing VGC way more than the core Pokémon games themselves. Some thoughts on it so far:
- I’m enjoying the stripped back meta and item selection, I was getting bored of the same old restricted / paradox Pokémon in every battle - It’s a very weather-heavy meta, unless you have a specific strategy you absolutely need a weather setter - Sneasler feels like a must-have Pokémon on every team
I can understand why people may be disappointed if they were expecting something like Pokémon Stadium but as a VGC platform it’s taken away all of the grind and opened up team building exactly as I’d hoped. If it can truly establish itself, then maybe GameFreak can be more creative with the battle format in Winds and Waves, which could actually please the more casual fans who have found Champions jarring.
I’m not into the amount of bots I had to face early on in the game but appreciate it helps newcomers learn the ropes. The difficulty ramps up pretty quickly in the higher tiers when you face more actual players. VGC is not for the faint hearted but if you stick with it, you’ll gain a much deeper appreciation for how complex the game actually is.

I decided to swap the buttons on my white and gold 8BitDo 64 controllers. What do you think?
I’m by no means the most confident person when it comes to modding but this proved to be a great beginner’s project. I’m made up with how it came out.
Here’s my review of the Analogue 3D if you want to learn more about this controller: https://youtu.be/d2ga9sJmVqA
