This comprehensive manual was created by a team of PhD candidates, including Ghulam Muhammad Mustafa, Muhammad Saleem, Swadip Bhattacharjee, Tayyaba Rasheed, and Vina Javed Khan, and reflects months of dedicated effort. As the project leader, I'm proud to present the final version, which is organized into seven sections and provides a seamless guide through the process.

This research manual facilitates the download of a wide array of data, spanning Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) metrics, Accounting, Financial data, Auditing information, Market statistics, and more from Refinitiv Eikon.

As the team leader, my reflection on this manual is as follows:
"This manual aims to document the experiences of research students in downloading data under the guidance of a research supervisor."

"The goal was to help students improve their research processes and share their knowledge with other PhD students."

"Doing so can encourage a culture of research excellence and knowledge sharing both within and outside the institution."

"Research supervisors or centres/clusters from different business school disciplines can use this example of a collaborative exercise to pass on the valuable knowledge and experience of existing PhD students to current and prospective students."

"This will save them much research time and increase the productivity of research centres and clusters. Ultimately, it will lead to the creation and dissemination of knowledge in a meaningful and collaborative manner...”
