A humble adaptation of an early 80s song by Tony Brutus.
"Water Pistol" was originally recorded in 1982 and released in 1983, produced by Geoffrey Chung and Mikey "Boo" Richards. It became a hidden gem among reggae and early dancehall fans over the years.

This is just my own tribute to a great classic, my humble take on a song that deserves to be remembered.

Supa Bassie - Valencian Collie (Tuffies Yard - 2026)

“Valencian Collie” is a song I wrote many years ago. Over time, I recorded different versions for mixtapes and dubplates on various riddims, but I never officially recorded it for any label or serious release.

What I always knew from the beginning was that one day I wanted to record this tune exactly the way I imagined it: over a proper early 80’s Rub-A-Dub / Dancehall riddim inspired by the legendary sound of Roots Radics, Channel One, Volcano and all those classic Jamaican productions from the golden era of early dancehall.

After talking about the idea with my production team, we finally got to work and now, at last, here it is: “Valencian Collie”.

The riddim is performed by Tuffies Yard Syndicate in the purest Roots Radics style, produced, recorded and mixed by Ranking B, and mastered by Cool Smoke.

Special dedication to all ganja smokers worldwide!

“Rub A Dub Celebrity” is the new reinterpretation of “Champion Veteran”, a track I originally recorded in 2013 for the Fat Bird label.

Thirteen years later, under the production of the Tuffies Yard team, this new version was created with the intention of bringing back the authentic essence and sound of the early 80’s Rub A Dub Style.

A production made to pay tribute to a fundamental era of reggae music and sound system culture.
