NOW I GET IT!

I honestly never understood the huge obsession with Sodom's Beast/Draco besides her mechanics (she was the best single-target unit on release).

To be completely honest, I didn’t read the event properly when it first dropped, so I ended up forgetting about it and stalling the story. I thought she was just another Nero variant, but most people kept saying “no, she’s not Nero,” which left me a bit confused. I didn’t ask for clarification because I wanted to experience the event properly later.

Now I finally did — a slow playthrough where I actually read everything.

Now I get it…

It’s all about the shadow of Nero that grew into a hypothetical version of her who, after losing everything and being denied by fate, wanted to end it all. Then the third Ascension represents a hypothetical version who didn’t die and kept being the same Nero (or even became an even “worse” one lol).

In the end, she feels very similar to Lancer Artoria or Jeanne d’Arc Avenger — versions that shouldn’t even be possible to exist, yet the writing for their characters is just peak.

Which brings me to that whole discussion about the 3rd Ascension design from a few days ago. I think people are calmer about it now lol.

I understand why some people don’t like the current 3rd Ascension. I do agree that the original Beast version exposed way more skin, which makes the mobile version feel like censorship at first. But after finishing the event, it simply doesn’t seem to be the case.

The original design from the Arcade (the full Beast form) was meant to be the peak of her **Beast** side, while the 3rd Ascension on mobile is the peak of her **Emperor** form that survived. They’re supposed to feel different — and they do.

On top of that, during the livestream people convinced me to check the Valentine scenes I had skipped before, and damn… they just add to how good this whole thing is. I’m so happy the personalities of the Seven Dragons survived too lol.

I think the only thing left to say is that the Lilim Harlot Event glazing was NOT exaggerated. The story is genuinely awesome, and Draco is a much better character than I initially thought.

I still prefer the first two designs though lol.
