For reference the music that was the subject of the claim was Grieg’s Peer Gynt ‘Morning Mood’ accompanying the scenes outside Kelmscott Manor, and Pete’s drone footage of the River Thames winding through this beautiful area. It’s a very recognisable piece, and I felt was just perfect.

What a pain it’s been navigating YouTube’s dispute and appeals process. It’s been stressful and frustrating, especially knowing all of the music used was properly licensed through Epidemic Sound, the music library we subscribe to and have happily used for years.

A big thank you to ‪@epidemicsound‬ for helping get it sorted in the end. We’re so glad it’s finally resolved!

We are really enjoying our slow journey from Cropredy up to Crick, passing through familiar places, and stopping at some of our absolute favourite spots along the way.

We stopped at Napton and paid another visit to the lovely Potting Shed at The Folly, which is always on our must do list. A garden themed ‘shed’ in the grounds of the pub which has such a quirky interior and great atmosphere.

Our plans are definitely a bit more structured now with Pete’s more regular working hours and our cruising days being more limited to weekends, so there’s a little more planning involved than there used to be. But we’re making it work and, so far, so good! 😊

I’m honestly so frustrated right now. Our latest video has had a copyright claim, even though every single piece of music we use comes from Epidemic Sound, a service we pay for specifically so we don’t run into issues like this.

It’s the first time it’s happened, but that doesn’t make it any less of a headache. I’ve already submitted a dispute which was rejected, and I’m really hesitant to take it further because if an appeal gets rejected too, it could lead to a copyright strike on the channel. Three strikes and they can take your channel down. Up until now we have been squeaky clean!

I’m in contact with Epidemic Sound to try and get it resolved, but in the meantime I’ve taken the video down.

What makes it even harder is that so many of you said it was our best video ever, with some even saying it felt as good as a BBC documentary. That honestly meant the world to us, which makes this even tougher to take.

Thank you so much to everyone who already watched and left such lovely comments, it really does mean a lot.

Really hoping we can get it sorted soon 🤞
